“What’s With the Bunny?”
A Note on Joy, Evolution & Why the Garden Just Got a Little More Glittery
Welcome to the Sacred Playhouse, my friend!
The Sacred Playhouse is a tender and joy-filled corner of The Garden… created as a safe, imaginative space where your Divine Inner Child is always welcome. Here, we believe play is sacred, silliness is healing, and creativity is a powerful path home to yourSelf.
Think of it as your cozy clubhouse in the soul realm, a space where whimsy, wonder, and soft truth live side by side. It’s where you’ll meet a cast of magical friends, each one offering their own flavor of comfort, encouragement, or sacred mischief… all to help you remember that joy was never something you had to earn.
Whether you’re here for a smile, a prompt, or just a moment to breathe and belong, you’ve made it to the right place.
If what you find here brings light to your heart, I invite you to become a paid subscriber and support the continued magic of this growing world. Whether you do or don’t, please know this:
Your presence here is deeply cherished.
And you are always welcome in the Playhouse.
✨ Come on in, my friend!
Let’s play, remember, and rise… together.
Hello, my beautiful friend!
You may have noticed something new blooming around here lately.
There’s a bunny wearing rainbow socks. A lion who brews tea instead of roaring. A feathered prophet who squawks wisdom between glitter trails. At first glance, these whimsical beings might seem like a surprising shift from the tone of The Garden you’ve come to know and love. And if you’ve found yourself quietly wondering, “What’s going on here? Is this still The Garden? Is Dawna still… Dawna?” you’re not alone. And the answer is simple, and softly certain.
Yes, my friend. This is still The Garden.
And yes, I am still Dawna.
Perhaps now, I am simply more mySelf than I have ever been previously.
This Isn’t a Detour. It’s a Homecoming
While it may appear to be a playful pivot, The Sacred Playhouse is not a departure from my soul’s work. It is not a new path. It is a return. A homecoming to a part of myself that has always been present, quietly humming beneath the surface. It is the part I once kept small, kept quiet, kept patiently waiting until I had the tools, trust, and timing to bring it forward with clarity.
The Sacred Playhouse holds joy as a healing path. It honors softness as strength. It welcomes spiritual growth through wonder and whimsy, rather than pressure or performance. The Playhouse is not replacing The Garden. It lives within it. It is The Garden, seen through the eyes of the Divine Inner Child.
If you have been walking with me through seasons of softening, sacred pause, or quiet becoming…
If your healing has unfolded slowly, gently, and in rhythm with your truth…
Please know that part of the journey is still deeply honored here.
Only now, joy has been invited to walk alongside us, too.
Why I’m Building the Playhouse
For a long time, I believed that healing had to feel heavy. That in order to be seen as “wise” or “credible,” I needed to be “reverent,” which meant setting joy and play, and fun aside. That softness might be misunderstood. That play belonged only to children.
But healing is not made more real by how hard it feels. And spiritual growth does not require us to silence our lightness in order to be taken seriously. The longer I’ve walked this path, the more I’ve come to see that our deepest wisdom often arrives through laughter, imagination, and awe.
That is why The Sacred Playhouse was born.
It was created to offer something we all need… a space where growth does not require striving. A space where softness is cherished. A space where learning and play are welcome companions, and transformation is allowed to arrive wrapped in crayon doodles and gentle giggles.
This is not a departure from what I’ve always offered. If anything, it is the most honest expression of it yet.
The Purpose of Our Playhouse Friends
Let’s talk about the bunnies, the lions, the dragons, and the sparkly pigeons. They may seem whimsical at first glance, but they are not simply mascots or colorful “distractions.” These characters are companions. Emotional mirrors. Gentle guides created to help us reconnect with the Divine Inner Child, that part of us who remembers joy, safety, and true presence.
The Divine Inner Child is not broken, and she is not something to be fixed. She is remembrance. She is the part of you who still knows how to play, how to trust, how to love with wonder. Each of our Playhouse friends was created to help you return to her.
Bibble, with his socks and sparkle, opens the door to joyful expression.
Snugs, steady and warm, reminds us that rest is a sacred necessity.
Wheezy, wild and honest, shows us that truth can arrive through unexpected voices.
These characters are not here to entertain, they are here to companion your healing. They bring softness, silliness, and soul-deep wisdom, all wrapped in voices that feel safe and familiar. And there is science in this, too. Joy supports learning. Play deepens connection. When we feel safe and curious, we open. The Playhouse invites that opening with gentleness and care.
The Garden Hasn’t Gone Anywhere
Let me say this clearly. The Garden is still here. It remains a space where truth rises slowly, where tenderness is sacred, and where healing honors your own rhythm. Nothing about that has changed.
What is new is that there is a Playhouse nestled inside The Garden.
The Playhouse brings crayons and tea, gnome puns and storybooks, firelight and feathers. It brings sheep who speak affirmations that sound like lullabies, and dragons who teach us how to rest. It brings companions who will sit with you when you're sad, and laugh with you when you're silly. And it makes space for all of you, exactly as you are, in every season.
This is not about becoming someone different.
This is about becoming more yourself.
If you’ve been longing for a space where healing feels gentle… where presence is honored, where nothing needs to be proven, and where your soul can simply rest…
You are ALWAYS welcome here.
If you’ve been quietly wishing for a corner of the world where laughter is a sacred part of the process, where lightness feels like an old friend returning, and where your Divine Inner Child can stretch her wings and feel free again…
The Playhouse is ready for you.
This is a space where softness is honored as wisdom.
Where wonder is remembered as truth.
Where your becoming is met with gentleness and quiet joy.
You are not too much.
You are not too late.
And joy… honest, playful, soul-rooted joy… still belongs to you.
This is not a stage or a performance. It’s a soft return.
Not a step away from the sacred, but a deeper settling into it.
Not a shift in direction, but a remembering of what has always been true.
Yes, I am still Dawna.
I’m still the Guardian of The Garden. Still holding space for slow becoming, for soul rhythm, for sacred in-between seasons.
And now, I am also the keeper of glitter trails and storybook joy, of crayons, tea mugs, laughter, and healing wrapped in softness.
This next chapter has been asking to rise for a long time, and the joy that’s blooming through it is real.
It’s rooted in everything I’ve always known:
That healing can feel light.
That laughter can be a sacred sound.
That becoming doesn’t always have to ache, it can arrive as play, as presence, as permission to be.
So if something inside you stirs, a spark, a flicker, a quiet yes…
If there’s a part of you that longs to tuck the Inner Critic gently to the side,
and let your Divine Inner Child take the lead for a little while…
Come meet us.
Come sit beside Bibble and Snugs and Honeyblossom and all the tender-hearted companions waiting in this whimsical, soul-safe world.
The crayons are ready.
The kettle is warm.
And there’s a soft spot saved just for you.
Welcome home, beautiful light. 🌈
With sparkles and stillness,
